About BrokerExam

Why it exists

The Level 1 exam is restricted open book, RIBO's Consolidated Examinee Resource on screen and nothing else, so the skill is knowing where to look. There was no good free place to practise that, so we built one. Questions, flashcards and mocks, in your browser, with the law right there beside the answer.

How questions are written

We write every question and article on this site from the public sources cited beside it: the Act, the regulations, RIBO's own rules and its published decisions. Nothing here comes from a course book, someone else's question bank, or memory. Before a question goes live we check it against the source, then go back and check it again with the draft out of sight, working from the cited section alone. If it does not hold up, it is fixed or it goes. Where an answer rests on the law, it links to the section, reproduced here, so you can read it yourself rather than take our word for it. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will put it right as quickly as we can.

Most carry the provision they rest on, as a link into the law on this site. The others are written from a standard policy wording, which is not law and is not reproduced here, so they carry the explanation alone.

BrokerExam is independent study material. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any regulator or exam provider.

Privacy

No ads, and we do not sell your data. An account just stores your progress. Details on the privacy page.

Corrections

Spotted a wrong answer, an outdated section, or a citation that no longer matches its source? Every question inside an account has a report box, and anyone can write to [email protected]. A question found wrong is corrected or withdrawn, and the source page it rests on is re-checked.
